LEGENDARY ADZIAMBEI BAND CELEBRATE 40 YEARS WITH A NEW ALBUM

Having spent 40 years in the music industry, ADZIAMBEI BAND continues to create and produce Tshivenda, a traditional music that educates, informs, and uplifts the VhaVenda culture and tradition. This can be noted in the band's recent album Mihwalo Vol. 19, which was released on January 12, 2024.

The founder of the band, Maele Sirwali, said that the album's title speaks to the reality that the country is facing, especially in the Vhembe District. "There is no peace nowadays, and people are killing each other like animals," said Maele.

Sirwali explained how Adziambei Band has kept its uniqueness since 1983. He said that the band continues to use traditional components in their music while incorporating Western instruments to keep up with the times. "We have created music that appeals to both younger and older generations by skillfully balancing a commercial awareness of both classic and current forms."

Mihwalo vol. 19 is available on all music digital platforms, such as YouTube, Amazon, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, Boomplay, and others.

For bookings those who wish to purchase Adziambei Band’s music can contact Mr Samuel Mabuda on 072 219 0041, Owen Sirwali on 072 102 5214, or WhatsApp them at 073 952 7636.
