It was all excitement as the
final nominees of the 2014 SATMA awards were announced at the Gala dinner event
on Saturday 30 August 2014. The glamorous event was held at the Mmabatho
Convention Centre in Mahikeng. Artists and their supporters, dressed mostly in
traditional gear came out in numbers to celebrate with the nominees of the
awards which seek to celebrate the South African traditional music and dance.
The public is urged to go all
out and show their support for these artists by voting for their favourite
artists/groups. The awards will be held on the 18th of October 2014 at
the University of Fort Hare in the Eastern Cape.
The final nominees for the Best
Tshivenda Album are Gift Maringa, April Ramufhi, Tycoon 4 sure and Adziambei
Band. Other artists in otrher categories include the ever-energetic Vendaboy Poet
