Li do da duvha
Black Leopards, well known as Li do da duvha, are on a quest to conquer Africa and this coming Saturday (14 July 2012) will prove to be extremely decisive for the team from the north. Li do da duvha plays Al-Merreikh of Sudan at Ellis Park stadium on Saturday afternoon. Leopards will be looking to improve their performance in order to cancel the first leg deficit that they suffered in Sudan. Al-Merreikh beat Leopards 3-2.
Black Leopards, despite their lacklustre performance in the domestic league, have always played entertaining football. Their only let-down is their shyness towards goals which have left them languishing in the Premier Soccer League.
I believe Leopards will advance to the group stages and urge all South African to rally behind Li do da duvha on Saturday. With support from the SAFA President Kirsten Nematandani, recently appointed Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund, Li do da duvha are determined to fly the South African flag once more.
“We need all the support we can get from the people of South Africa as we are the only team that still represents in the CAF. So get your tickets and come rally behind the team, and we will try by all means to get you to blow the Vuvuzelas in joy.” Mongezi Bobe (Black Leopards Captain www.blackleopardsfc.com)

Thina's album launch 04 August 2012
I got hold of Thina's latest offering two weeks back from someone I know from home. I quickly went to my CD player eagerly wanting to hear what my homeboy had to offer. I might be the only one who does this but whenever I get a new disc, I skip through songs, looking for that one song that my soul will fall in love with. When I stumbled across a song called "U Mudzimu", I knew I had found my song. I don’t know how many times I have listened to this beautiful track, and every time I listen to it, it doesn’t even feel like I have heard it before. I have now fallen in love with the whole album, titled Calvary, and can’t wait to witness Thina blessing us with the gospel music from this album. Other songs include: - i lay my life, khavha rendwe, sefapano, lefu la hau, duvha li mangadzaho, e jwale, tsini ha murena and Jeso mutshidzi. The album is out, so good people, go and get your copy (original) now.
The attached poster has all the details of the launch, which I cannot wait to attend. Please spread the good news as the line-up promises to cause fireworks in Pretoria. My task now is to hone my voice so that I’ll be able to sing along during the launch. Featured artists include J. Mbiza, Ndivhuwo Matumba, Mpho Regalo and many others.

David Mmbi - Lushie lwo naka
Late last year, it was declared that ‘Adziambei Band’s album, ‘Shango lo takala’ took Zahara’s music out of fashion. I am not sure to what extent this was the case, all I know is it put Venda music on the map once more. So I’m sure this album will break more than one records. I and my colleague were in desperate need of David Mmbi’s album since we heard ‘Nese la Tshilidzini’ on Phala-phala FM. I thank Vho-Mpho na Tshigi, or Majantibhayi, as they are famously known, for making me fall in love with David Mmbi’s music. I remember the first time I heard ‘Lufuno’, I was taking my wife to Bosman station to take a bus to Venda. Tshigi mentioned that this song would fit perfectly if it was being used as an audition song for Idols. I agreed with him then, but after getting hold of the album, I promise you, David Mmbi is an outstanding musician whose music is more than just music.
One thing about me is if I like something, it better be good. David Mmbi’s music is too good. When I heard that he was coming to Ha-Mavhele (Pretoria), I was excited, of course. I was not disappointed at all, I got the three copies I wanted. The bonus is I also got to see him perform, armed only with his acoustic guitar. The performance was outstanding. Thank you David Mmbi.
The album is titled ‘Lushie lwo naka’ (an infant is beautiful). It has 8 tracks. The title track, ‘Lushie lwo naka’ is a song advicing the youth to take the issue of abortion seriously. I plead with you guys, please listen to this song with an open mind, and let’s help create a sense of responsibility to ur nation. ‘Lufuno’ is a love song which, once you listen to, you’ll always be hooked to it (and love). I wish there was a video for this song. I am sure, the video for this song would help market this well-built project more than a success for David Mmbi as well as for the Venda nation as a whole. With this, I can’t wait for the live DVD which is scheduled to be recorded later in the year. I, for sure, will keep you updated with all the relevant details relating to that. Other songs include, among others, 'A dovhe a mu fune', ‘Mukegulu’and ‘Nyamutwawolala’.

Anthony B, Colbert Mukwevho, P. Postman (Percy) ..... live in Jo'burg Newtown
Saturday the 10th of March, South Africa (Joburg) will be graced with the live music of reggae icon, Anthony B who hails from Jamaica. Newtown is the place to be if you are looking for some fresh sounds from Jamaica as well as locally. My favourite artist, Colbert Mukwevho (aka Harley) will be there doing what he does best, preaching to the masses. His son Percy, known to his fans as P. Postman will also be performing there, and I'm sure you don't wanna miss this kind of event. Whenever Colbert is performing, expect fireworks and skanking non-stop.
Tickets are available at Computicket from R180. Doors open at 16h00. Ri do chanta Ithiopia.

My birthday song
Roll a spliff meditate and seek wisdom
Jah guide and protect I from the sinful
Rise and shine do not miss ya train
We shall never cease prayin for your kids
This world is amiss and all is not it seems
Drink ya water but this blood never sleep
I am anointed so I forever dream
Some are disturbed see how they creep
See they obsessed you’ll hear them screaming in their sleep
I’m a man of order so don’t you question my kindness
It’s just your mentality that’s too much for my liking
Get up early mornings we gon’ smoke some more
Them don’t like it
But we keep it burning we sure
Wicked running from this fire
We praising the most higher
We notice the sun never shine and we suffer
Pushed to the limit, but we never dread
We the guerrillas we sing songs in Zion
The fake are gonna face with the lion
The descendants of Moses, the children of Nnzene
Even the valiant tremble when we utter
Overstand this life is but a blessing
That’s why we give I time to I-self
So please give I peace so I rest
There’s no turning back this is I-path
Boys go home this is man test
Scary scary fools I man done past that
Building the ark, Noah had the motivation
Men weak today tomorrow we a go conquer
Look at the earth, it’s full of fruits for man
Children give thanks to the Man
Who never disown nor leave you
Me Afrikan you cannot teach me
I have my educator that you cannot dictate
You found me living so you free to leave
I’m a son of the queen ask those who met her
My father’s not a pastor so reflect before you stutter
So long we been the subjects of humility
I’ll carry that torch and you won’t stop me
Your conversation won’t reach me I’ll be far in the village
Wicked hand burn I reside in a furnace
I’m true wicked killer
And I live, me believer
From the demon I deliver
My lyrics flow akin to a river
Am not after gold and silver
I’m a serene money maker
Not here to be a lover
Cos these moves will soon be over
So my enemy run for cover

Khakhathi & Friends : Ndi tshivhotshwa feauturing Mudededzi
Khakhathi & friends has released their latest offering titled "Ndi tshivhotshwa". The album features the hit track, Mudededzi, which has been receiving massive airplay recently. Khakhathi, whose music never compromises when it comes to protest songs, has come out very strongly against politicians who are plundering the government's monies while people who voted them to power are suffering. "Mudededzi" on the other hand pays tribute to the teachers who Khakhathi refers to as the pillar of the community.
Khakhathi's music has been well-received by his loyal fans over the years, and this album is one of the best to come out of 'Madakani'. Get yourself a copy today and fight with Khakhathi against them foreigners who are flooding our land, while we suffer.

P. Postman's new single
P. Postman (Percy Mukwevho) has released his latest single titled "I'm a legend". I got myself a copy this past weekend and I must say my expectations were very high when I bought the disc. Guess what! I'm not dissapointed at all, I got more than what I had expected. The boy is really a legend in the making. I can't wait for the full album which is scheduled for release early in 2012.
The disc has four songs, "I'm a legend", "Got you all ready", "Ndo enda" and "Ndo enda (Accoustic)". For enquiries you can contact P. Postman's Manager, Jah Major @ 083 7016 228 or fortune@rudebwoy.co.za
